Non Standard Learning Routes

There are a number of opportunities for existing learning to contribute towards Sports Leaders UK qualifications:

Evidence Mapping

Evidence from other qualifications can be used to meet Assessment Criteria, the AAC is responsible for clearly demonstrating this.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Learners may have completed other qualifications or have relevant experiences that allows them to meet Assessment Criteria, which can be recognised.

Equivalents and Exemptions

Equivalents: Units or qualifications (QCF) that learners have completed and are formally recognised by Sports Leaders UK as equivalent.

Exemptions: Certified achievement (not QCF) that Sports Leaders UK deem equivalent. Learners cannot gain credits for this.


Follow the normal certification process.

Quality Assurance Requirements

Any non standard learning must be clearly evidenced for the quality assurance visit.
