March 2016 - Terms and Conditions

The Briefing for Centres email was sent to all CCMs on the 1 March 2016 (it will also be re-sent on 19/4/16), if you have not received this please contact Customer Service Team immediately on 01908 689180.

Please be aware that the below is guidance. To sign up and agree to the new T&Cs, your Centre must refer to the email.

Main changes to the Terms and Conditions

The key changes to be aware of are:

  • The introduction of a minimum spend on awards and qualifications
  • Implementation of a new Centre Withdrawal Policy
  • New prices in place (Withdrawal, maintenance and minimum spend)

Minimum spend on awards and qualifications

The self-assessment review identified the average cost for Sports Leaders UK to maintain a Centre. Therefore, we have decided to implement an annual minimum centre spend of £350 in order to cover the costs of servicing Centres.

Where a Centre spends less than £350, the difference between the actual spend and £350 will be invoiced in August 2017. 

A minimum spend policy is in place for many other Awarding Organisations, and implementing this change will ensure that we are able to continue to provide a quality service to our Centres

What happens next?

For courses that have already been applied for or will be started before 1 August 2016

  • You will be running the courses under the existing Terms and Conditions.
  • You will retain access to any Tutor Resources for courses you are currently running until your course has finished and Learners have been certificated.

For courses starting after 1 August 2016

  • Your Centre Course Manager will need to accept the new Terms and Conditions via the Briefing for Centres email.
  • Once the Terms and Conditions are agreed to, you will be given access to all Sports Leaders UK qualification Tutor Resources.
  • The minimum spend of £350 for the academic year will apply.

Wish to withdraw from delivery of Sports Leaders UK qualifications and awards, please refer to the Withdrawal Policy or go to the withdrawal guidance located in the Centre Manual. 

As a current Centre you have until 31 December 2016 to agree to the new Terms and Conditions via the Briefing for Centres email.
