Qualification objective

This qualification provides skills and experience for those wanting to deliver sport and recreational activities to a variety of community groups such as older people, children and people with disabilities.

  • Age: 16+ on registration. 18+ for certification
  • Pre-requisites: Successful completion of the Sports Leaders UK Level 2 Award in Sports Leadership or the Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership
  • Prior knowledge, skills or understanding that the learner is required to have: The skills, knowledge and understanding gained by successful completion of either of Sports Leaders UK Level 2 qualifications
  • Level of supervision during training: Direct supervision
  • Level of supervision once qualified: Independent from supervision

Pre-certification requirements

Successful completion of all Learning Outcomes for all units plus 33 hours demonstration of leadership and completion of a National Governing Body award.
